Kate Scott is the President & CEO of VCEE (Virginia Council on Economic Education). Previously, she served as the Vice President of Programs and as the associate director of the Center for Economic Education at George Mason University, one of VCEE's affiliated centers. In these roles, she supported educators in Virginia's most populated region, led professional development programs, and served on the VCEE Board of Directors.
Kate has a strong background in both education and business. Before joining George Mason University, she taught Business Management and Administration in Mississippi. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Small Business & Entrepreneurship Emphasis) from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Education from William Carey University. Kate has earned professional certifications, including the W!SE Personal Finance Certification for Educators. She has also served on the boards of the Council for Economic Education (CEE) and the National Association of Economic Educators (NAEE).
