Bio

Kip Krumwiede, PhD, CMA, CSCA, CPA, has over 30 years’ experience in the field of management accounting. He is the former Director of Research for the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), where he developed and produced research studies on a variety of business topics. In 2022, after 8 years away from teaching, Kip missed being with students and joined the VCU accounting faculty. Prior to joining IMA, he served as a professor for 18 years at the University of Richmond, Boise State, and BYU. Before entering academics Kip worked for two Fortune 500 companies in a variety of finance positions. He has written over 50 articles, reports, and papers in a variety of professional and academic journals.
