Bio

Devon P. Jefferson is a fourth-year doctoral candidate. She is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master’s degree in Accountancy from Michigan State University. Devon began her career at KPMG LLP in their Federal Audit Practice in Washington, DC. While there, she completed a two-year rotation with KPMG’s Business School where she developed and instructed trainings for novice auditors. As an Audit Manager, Devon joined a regional public accounting firm, Arnett Carbis Toothman LLP, where she managed a variety of client engagements, including oil and gas, banking, and nonprofit. Devon is an AICPA Minority Doctoral Scholar and is interested in behavioral audit research.
