Bio
Jazmin Henry’s research focuses on identity, race, and culture within consumer experiences in traditional (e.g., brick and mortar stores) and non-traditional (e.g., metaverse) marketplaces.
Her research is published in the Journal of Strategic Marketing and she has made research presentations on various topics in marketing at numerous international marketing conferences including Consumer Culture Theory, Association of Consumer Research, Race in the Marketplace (RIM) Research Forum, and Academy of Marketing Science. She is actively involved in several professional and academic organizations, including The PhD Project, American Marketing Association, Association for Netnographic Research, Association for Consumer Research, Consumer Culture Theory Consortium, and Society for Consumer Psychology.
Professor Henry holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Fayetteville State University, an MBA in Marketing from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of California, Irvine. Prior to joining the academy, she amassed nearly a decade of experience in the financial sector as a credit risk analyst at institutions such as Credit Suisse, BB&T (now Truist), and Allegacy Federal Credit Union.
