Bio

Marisa Guida is an Assistant Professor of Business Communication & Career Development courses. As the Unit Head of Business Essentials (2018-present), Marisa oversees BUSN courses for undergraduate business students. Marisa also manages Studio BE: a Peer consulting program for Business Essentials courses.

Marisa has a strong background in performance; acting, voice, movement, & writing. Marisa has performed professionally for over 20 years at some of the greatest theaters in the country, including the Kennedy Center, D.C., and the Town Hall Theatre, NYC. A recent RVA performance with Cadence Theatre includes the Teacher in Small Mouth Sounds (March 2020). When she wasn't training or performing, Marisa was a project manager for several marketing campaigns across NYC. Clients included Starbucks, Adidas, Gillette, Revlon, & Marisa's favorite, Top of the Rock.
Playwriting: PRETTY FUNNY THE MUSICAL, world premiere, MusicalFare Theatre, Buffalo NY (Summer 2017).
